Difference Between Commercial and Organic Vegetables

!±8± Difference Between Commercial and Organic Vegetables

Maybe you already know that fresh vegetables from home gardens taste better than the store bought ones. But, do you know why?

Home grown vegetables taste better than the store bought ones simple because home grown vegetables contain more nutrients! The quality of the soil is what makes your food!

In order to feed the growing population on this planet, farmers started using chemical fertilizers to keep the food supply going. But, synthetic fertilizers that they are using does not add organic matter to the soil, nor do they replenish the nutrients which are needed to grow well rounded, nutrient rich vegetables.

And this lack of nutrients in the soil means that crops are more susceptible to diseases and insects. So, the use of pesticides is essential in commercial vegetable growing, because there is no enough natural elements in the soil to help - no beneficial bacteria, fungi or insects which help fight diseases that attack vegetables.

Therefore, the vegetables we eat from conventional grocery stores are full with pesticides and are lacking in a lot of nutrients we need to stay healthy. And the vegetables you grow yourself taste so much better than the veggies that you buy in the supermarkets!

If you can, start a small vegetable garden! It does take a little more effort, but the flavor of the vegetables is fantastic and the nutrients values are much higher!
